INDIAN OVERSES BANK SCALE-V DEPARTMENTAL EXAM GA RBI CIRCULAR FINANCE BANKING CBT
Promotion from Senior Management Grade Scale IV to Scale V :
An officer will be eligible to participate in the Promotion process from SMG Scale IV to SMG Scale V under Written Test Channel and Normal channel as per the following table:

- A minimum length of 12 years total service in the Bank. However, in case the officer joins at a Scale higher than JMG Scale I, the minimum service requirement as stated above would be reckoned from the level at which he/she enter the service. For example, if an officer enters at Scale II, the minimum length of service for promotion from SMG Scale IV to V will be 9 years instead of 12 years. However, experience of 5 years as an Officer in Branch subject to minimum 3 years as Branch Manager / In-charge Credit Processing Cell is mandatory, and
- He/she should have worked as an Officer in a Branch for at least 5 years subject to minimum 3 years as Branch Manager/Credit Processing Cell In-charge/RAC (CPAC) in charge (Scale IV officers who have not completed the Branch Manager stint/Credit Processing cell In-charge/CPAC in charge for Three years but are otherwise eligible for promotion to Scale V cadre can appear for promotions, provided such officers undertake to complete the residual Branch Manager stint immediately on being promoted to Scale V cadre), and
- In respect of Directly Recruited Officers in scale IV, criteria with respect to minimum 5 years Branch experience and 3 years of Branch Head/CPAC-RAC in- charge should be applicable considering service rendered in our Bank as well as previous organization also, and
- Qualified in an examination to test the proficiency in Computer Literacy & Computer Knowledge (CLCK). The Minimum qualifying marks in CLCK is 50%.
However, those who have already qualified in the test on Computer Literacy & Computer Knowledge Test in earlier examination / process need not appear again.
